Busy Busy Busy

Sorry I didn't post at my normal time, things have been quite hectic. Papers need to be finished before fall break, etc., etc.

Anywho, I would like some opinions. I've been thinking about my book title, The Not-So Meet Cute. It doesn't seem to fit in with the whole book, only the beginning.

So, how does Accidental Power sound? Like something you would want to read?

Also, check out the contest at Carrie Harris' blog. It's all types of fun.

Hmm. I quite like The Not-So Meet Cute. It's (not to be redundant or anything) cute. I'd personally be more inclined to pick a book up with that title than Accidental Power.
Good luck with those papers!

I agree with Sarah! -and I have the same trouble picking titles-I want them to span the whole book and such, but I dunno if that's necessary...I could be wrong, but books like 'Twilight' and others don't really to refer to much of ANYTHING in the book, but it works and grabs attention. I really like 'The Not So Meet Cute'!
I'm thinking about it now, and the only problem I would personally see that's wrong with the original title could be that non-writers might not know what a "meet cute" could draw attention cuz they wonder what that is and want to find out...I could be wrong tho-I don't know the rules that govern titles-or what an agent or publisher would say to do.
This is a hard question...
But- the first time I read ur title, I really liked it and was intrigued.

Yeah, I like the original title too. It's quirky and unique, and would make me look twice.

Sounds like a consensus then :)
